The Beatles Christmas Show Programme (1963)

The Beatles Christmas Show Programme (1963)

£70.00Price

An original 1963 souvenir programme for "Brian Epstein Presents The Beatles Christmas Show", a series of Christmas shows which ran from 24th December 1963 - 11th January 1964, at London, Finsbury Park, Astoria.

The Beatles were supported by mostly Brian Epstein acts, and appeared in comedy routines and also sang "Roll Over Beethoven", "Money", and "Twist And Shout". There were two shows per night except on the 24th and 31st December, where there was only one show. There were no shows on the 25th and 29th December and 5th January.

Full lineup: The Beatles, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, Rolf Harris, Cilla Black, The Fourmost, Tommy Quickly, and The Barron Knights.

The programme has a fair bit of wear and tear - the outer sleeve has surface wear and wrinkle/crease marks, and the spine has worn through on the bottom half, with the staples rusting - the pages/programme are still intact through the top staple. The internal colour pages have some weathering and colour fade, and the pages in general have creasing and surface marks throughout (see photos).

Note that the camera has captured the outer sleeve colours more blue than it appears to the eye (which is more purple).

Size is approx. 8.5"x11".
