An original Rolling Stone magazine dated to 22nd January 1981, featuring the final portrait of John Lennon and Yoko Ono on the cover, by Annie Leibovitz.
 
Originally the magazine was to feature an interview with John Lennon in promotion of his 1980 album 'Double Fantasy', but in light of the shocking assassination of Lennon just over a month prior, the magazine opted instead for a special tribute issue (the interview would not be published by the magazine until 2010).
 
The outer sleeve has come loose from the internal magazine, and has wear and tear down the spine. The centrefold page is also loose, and the pages have also tanned with age (see photos for further reference).
 
Size is approx. 10.5"x12.5". Note that this will be shipped flat, as a small parcel.
