Frank Zappa and the Mothers Of Invention concert contract from 1973, signed by Frank Zappa. The contract is for two performances at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, USA on 14th December 1973, as part of the 1973 Last North American Tour. In typical Zappa fashion, Frank has signed the contract in blue marker way over the intended lines. There is also a signature of employer at Celebrity Theatre by the same pen. As per contract terms, the agreed wage for the show's was $11,000 dollars guaranteed plus 60% of the grosss ticket receipts over $24,500 (minus applicable admission taxes). A $5,500 deposit was also due to artist on the evening of the show. The reverse side of the contract lists the members of Frank Zappa's band (with social security numbers) that included Napoleon Murphy Brock, George Duke, Bruce Fowler, Tom Fowler, Ralph Humphrey, Chester Cortez Thompson and Ruth Underwood. There is also printed additional terms and conditions. The contract has some staple marks along the top edge/corner, but overall the contract is in good condition for it's age (see photos).
