The Beatles Chris Montez & Tommy Roe 1963 Tour Programme + Montez Signed Cutting
The Beatles, Chris Montez & Tommy Roe original 1963 UK tour programme, to come with a Chris Montez signed vintage newspaper cutting.
This was Americans Chris Montez and Tommy Roe first headline UK tour, which ran from 9th March through to the 31st March, with the Beatles as support. From the very first show though, it was evident that the Beatles were the stars of the show.
The Beatles repertoire was "Love Me Do", "Misery", "A Taste Of Honey", "Do You Want To Know A Secret", "Please Please Me" and "I Saw Her Standing There". The Beatles appear on the back cover.
Full lineup for the tour consisted of: Chris Montez, Tommy Roe, The Beatles, The Viscounts, Debbie Lee, Terry Young Six, with Tony Marsh as the compere.
Provenance (signed cutting):
The signed cutting, which has been hand-signed by Chris Montez in red ink, was originally purchased through Omega Auctions, with the original listing stating that the vendor obtained all their autographs in-person during the period between September 1962 and August 1963.
Condition:
The outer sleeve of the programme has some edge/corner wear and stress marks along the edges/spine, with the bottom of the spine having worn and very slightly split. There are also surface marks on the outer sleeve (more noticeable on the back), as well as on the internal pages where there are also surface wrinkle marks.
The signed newspaper cutting has considerably tanned with age and has some rough cut edges, and a small tear out of the top edge.

Programme size is approx. 8"x10.5" inches, and the signed cutting approx. 3"x5.75".
